Our company specialize in the development, supply and support of Sheriff Office software (Civil process software) designed specifically for the South African Sheriff. On request we can modify our software for use in any country whose civil judicial system is based on the Westminster model.
The Sheriff 2005 software program is currently in use in over 30 large, medium and small Sheriff office's in South Africa as well as in one office in Swaziland. The program is mainly in use in the province of Gauteng, which is the economic powerhouse of South Africa. It is estimated that the Sheriff 2005 program processes in excess of 60% of all processes issued by the South African civil courts. The Sheriff's also serves and executes processes from a number of other courts (Constitutional Court, Labour Court, Maintenance Court, etc.) which is not included in the estimation.
Together with our sister company - Prosystems Software (Pty) Ltd - we service in excess of 200 Sheriff's Office's country wide.

Legal Information Technology was formed in 1998 by Leslie de Kock and Eugene Schilz. Their backgrounds complemented the vision set for the company namely to develop a software package for Sheriff's. Leslie have extensive background in C++, Unix and Delphi. Eugene have extensive experience in a Sheriff's office, formerly being a Deputy Sheriff and Office Manager. The software is thus developed for Sheriff's by Sheriff's.
